TERMS AND CONDITIONS
There is no minimum order however the postage and packing rates will apply.
All weights can vary slightly as the cheese is cut to order by hand, however we will endeavour to be as accurate as possible. Sometimes the cheese will be larger than the specified size and sometimes it will be smaller, and we will guarantee that each 200g portion you receive will never be more than 20g less (180g).
We will aim to dispatch your order the day after it has been placed. If an item is unavailable it will be necessary to delay the order for a day or two. If this is the case we will contact you by email or by telephone to let you know. During Christmas, Easter and other busy periods please allow up to 5 days for your order to be dispatched.
Orders will be sent out Monday to Thursday on a ‘Next Day Delivery’ courier service to avoid being caught up in the weekend. Should an order be required for Saturday delivery this can be done by special arrangement. Please ensure that you, or the designated recipient of the delivery, will be available to sign for the parcel. Please ensure that your delivery address and post code are accurate, We cannot be responsible for non-delivery to an inaccurate address/postcode. For non-perishable items we are able to offer a Guaranteed Next Day Delivery service via the Post Office.
We take great pride with our products. Please inspect your goods once received and contact us either by email or telephone if you are not entirely happy. If any item has been received in a damaged condition please contact us within 24 hours – we may need to have the product back.
Postage and Packaging
All orders will be sent out in boxes with an ice pack to keep your cheese selection in good condition.
Postage up to a weight of 20kg will be £8.99 to the UK Mainland – if you would like to send a parcel further please phone us on 01643 862773 to arrange this.
Payment for all goods must be made in advance. We do not allow credit unless this has been agreed specifically between parties. All prices shown include VAT at the standard rate where applicable. We accept payments online by Visa, MasterCard, Maestro and Solo. Payment is taken when you place your order and if it is not authorised then the order will not be processed, however we would endeavour to contact you to take an alternative form of payment. Once payment has been accepted you will receive an email from us confirming your order.
All data stored by us will be kept in the strictest of confidence and not shared with any third party.
Should your product be damaged or not as ordered please return it to us with the original packaging and your receipt and we will arrange an exchange or refund you in full. Your statutory rights will not be affected.
Risk of damage or deterioration passes to the buyer upon delivery. We will not accept any claims for damage or deterioration after delivery has been made.
You have the right to cancel your order at any time until it has been dispatched. If the goods have been dispatched then cancellations will not be accepted.
The title of the goods ordered remains the property of The Big Cheese until paid for in full.
